We had the absolute pleasure of having Maureen marrying us in August. From the first video call we had we immediately knew that we wanted Maureen as our celebrant.
From the start right through to the wedding day Maureen was so helpful and kept in touch throughout helping us with any questions we had. The ceremony was everything I had imagined and captured our relationship perfectly!
Maureen is such a lovely person and every call we had with her she made us feel relaxed and calmed the nerves. I can’t recommend Maureen enough she is brilliant at what she does. Thanks again so much for everything xx

💍 Look no further!! 💍 I don't even know where to begin so, I guess firstly by saying a massive thank you to Maureen for making our service so special, unique and exactly what we hoped for and more! From the moment we met Maureen to our big hug goodbye she was an absolute pleasure to work with. She made everything leading up to our day feel effortless and stress free. She kept in regular contact and sent updates to keep us organised, making sure we didn't miss deadlines or important details.
Maureen tailored our ceremony exactly as we hoped and made it so fun, relaxed and interesting. She told our story so beautifully with humour and love which all of our guests had commented on. When we first met Maureen she instantly made us feel relaxed, welcomed and excited for our day. She sent over our ceremony script to read through and when asked to alter and add in extra bits she did this so promptly with no hesitation.
She also, very kindly met us the day before for our rehearsal which was amazing as it gave everyone an idea of how things would be on the day. She wanted our day to be perfect as much as we did and she did just that. It's so clear how much love and passion she has for her job and she really goes above and beyond to cater to all your desires. We're both so happy to have found and have had Maureen as our Humanist Celebrant and I have no doubt that she will make her next couple as happy as us! I cannot recommend Maureen enough, she's simply brilliant as a Celebrant and as a person.

What a fabulous lady Maureen is, I initially booked Maureen on Hitch after watching many short clips from different Humanists across Scotland. We instantly liked Maureen’s vibe.
From when we booked her service far in advance to the days running up to the wedding Maureen was always at the end of the phone to help. She was prompt in her responses and never made you feel silly for asking what feels like silly questions at the time. We loved how we had video call meetings so we could get to know one another and luckily we did indeed get on very well.
Fast forward to our wedding day Maureen could not have done a better job in capturing our love story and producing it beautifully into our ceremony through her quick wit and charm.
Not forgetting throwing a few laughs in there which was well received by our wedding guests.
She had us feeling so comfortable and at ease during the ceremony it really helped with the nerves. Myself and my new husband would like to thank Maureen again for being such an important part of our day and making it that extra bit special. We wish you all the best

What a gal!! If your in the market for a humanist, look no further than Maureen.
From the word go Maureen was spot on, she got our sense of humour and embraced everything we wanted and didn't want.
A heavily populated farmer wedding with a hard to impress crowd Maureen commanded the room, with everyone complimenting it was the best service they had ever been to, short, sweet and full of laughter.
Maureen took the time to really get to know us, weaving personal touches and little anecdotes into the ceremony that made it feel genuinely ours. Her warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail made the whole process seamless from start to finish. We couldn’t have asked for a better celebrant to lead such a meaningful part of our day.

We went to lots of wedding shows and met so many celebrants but in one video call I knew Maureen was perfect for us. She is charismatic, funny and professional. We wanted someone to tell our story in a lighthearted and warm manner and she was perfect. After meeting Maureen at a wedding fayre I knew she was the one for us. She was easy to talk to and after our first video call meeting she knew exactly what we were wanted for our ceremony.
Maureen was absolutely fantastic from first booking her until our big day finally arrived in July ‘25. She was in regular contact with us throughout and kept us up to date on when forms had to be completed and handed in.
On our big day, all our guests commented on how it was such a lovely service especially with us choosing to do a hand-fasting which Maureen prepared us for on our final meeting so everything ran smoothly on the day.
We would highly recommend all future brides and grooms contact Maureen.

Maureen was absolutely amazing from start to finish. From our initial call way back in 2023/24, Maureen cracked the jokes and made us laugh- the perfect fit for our wedding day. Maureen made us feel so special, and spent the time learning all about us, and settling our nerves.
After a few calls, Maureen created our wedding script and for us to okay it- it was perfect first time!
Our final meeting, we went over our hand fasting, and spoke through all the details ensuring nothing was missed.
On the day, Maureen was there early, paid the bridal party a visit in the suite upstairs and visited the grooms party, totally relaxing us both and bringing the laughs.
The ceremony was amazing. The right amount of laughs, but also emotional and loving. Our dog Callie was apart of the ceremony too, who started growling during our “I do’s”- Maureen with her witty humour, cracked a joke and the place loved it.
Maureen has been amazing this full process, and we would definitely recommend her!

Maureen is an absolute amazing and wonderful woman. She help guide us through the wedding process beginning to end. My husband works unsociable hours and Maureen was sooo flexible so we could video chat. She was always at the end of the phone for silly questions or any information we needed.
