Hello, I’m Maureen, a celebrant based in Ayr on the beautiful west coast of Scotland. I live with my videographer husband Derek and our two dogs, Paddy and Jak, who keep life busy and full of fun. I also have two grown-up daughters.

Family and connection are at the heart of everything I do and that naturally carries through into my work as a celebrant. I’m known for being warm, approachable and great fun to be around and I always want the very best for every couple I work with.

Creating a relaxed, happy atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable is so important to me.

Outside of my work, I love travelling and exploring—whether it’s discovering beautiful parts of Scotland or venturing further afield in Europe. One of my favourite trips was a recent visit to Iceland, which was truly unforgettable.

At home, I enjoy the simple things too, like long walks with the dogs and relaxing with a good soap or quiz show. I even had a fun TV moment when Derek and I appeared on the game show Test Drive, where we ended up winning the star prize.

Being part of such important moments in people’s lives is a real privilege, and I bring care, positivity, and genuine enthusiasm to every ceremony I create.
